What is the Apple Maps search radius shape, search radius size, and search limit?

I'm searching for a specific business that has multiple locations in a state. I have searched for each location by address and can verify that all locations are in Apple Maps. But when I search on different search terms, I only get a limited number of results and never can I see all locations in the same search. Here is what I see:

  • Searching by just the name of the business, I get 8 of the 26 locations in the state.
  • Searching by the name of the business and a city, I get 6 (sometimes 7) of the 8 locations in that city.
  • Searching by the name of the business and the state, I get 12 of the 26 locations in the state.

I'm just trying to get some information to understand these results:

  • What is the shape of the Apple Maps search radius?
  • What is the size of the Apple Maps search radius? Does it change depending on if you put in a city and/or state in the search?
  • What is the Apple Maps search results limit? And does it change depending on if you put in a city and/or state in the search?

Thanks!
