Can't Receive or Send Pictures to non-iPhone Users!

Two people have told me they can't send pictures to me and get a message that says it can't be delivered. When I try to send a picture now to someone who doesn't have an iPhone, I get the Not Delivered message. I've turned off my phone and waited over 5 minutes. Still doesn't work. I have no problem sending pictures to iPhone users. It appears from the conversations I have seen that there is no fix coming from Apple. What are we supposed to do?

I apologize. I went to my carrier's site and found that Block Pictures and Videos were actually turned on. I turned it off and restarted my phone and sent a picture with no problem. It is a mystery to me how that could have been suddenly turned on in the last week. I didn't even know that area existed, so it wasn't anything I did. Thank you so much for your help and again, I apologize!

Open Settings App on your iPhone. Then Messages. Make sure Send as SMS and MMS Messaging are BOTH turned on.

Then the next step is to contact your carrier to ensure your account has been provisioned correctly. The type of issue you've described is a carrier supported issue.

I'm glad you got it resolved and I knew it was on the carrier side, not your iPhone. Whether people have had this forever, or just recently, the service you were referring to is not an iPhone delivery service, but one from your carrier.

Still, it's great you've got it working now.

Thank you for your answer. I did check and they are both turned on. I have also restarted my phone several times but to no avail. This just started happening to me last week. Prior to then, I had no problems. I have also updated to the latest IOS and still am having issues sending and receiving to non-Apple phones.

OK. Thank you, but how can this be a carrier issue when many others are having the same issue? From the Apple Support Chats I've seen, this has been a problem since January, 2023.
