MacBook Pro M2 cable yellowing

Hi everyone. I bought my MacBook Pro M2 earlier this year and the cable is starting to show yellowing and I'm a little concerned as to what could be the issue? Is it heating or yellowing from skin oils? I haven't used the charger so much to expect issues with it in less than a year. Charging seems fine, or at least I cannot see any issues. And before anyone asks, no I haven't thrown any food or liquids on it.

I know the older cables tended to yellow. Sometimes from heat, other times from oils & chemicals & dirt. Most likely your cable is yellowing from oils or dirt. If it was from the cable overheating, then I would expect it to yellow up against the connector itself, but it is really hard to say. Is that where you hold the cable when you disconnect it from the laptop? If so, then I would say it is oils from your hands. FYI, it is always best to hold the connector itself when disconnecting cables so you don't strain & stretch the wire.

I would suggest having Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the cable. An Apple Store would probably be best since they are Apple and AASPs will have more limited options.
