I'm now one of the unlucky consumers with a flexgate screen issue. I went to the Apple Store and their response was to buy for me to buy a Macbook Air. This computer is still in great shape. Is anyone aware of Apple fixing this issue for free?

Based on a Personal Experience...
Getting a Free Mac Screen:
Well, that's the way technology is. It might fail' or it might NOT fail. I had my 2017 MBP's screen died and had to send it in 11 times. Being a patient customer, they gave me a free 2.5 grand upgrade. All I paid that day was the price for my 2018 MBP AppleCare+ coverage. I renew my plan annually. But, eventually, it will slow down, and it will become time for a new Mac.
