imessage Crashes when I try to Print Text String

When I open up a Text String in imessages, and go to "Print", imessage crashes. It is not a particularly long string by the way.

loading old iMessages taking a long time I want to print a message string from my iMessage. It goes back about 4 months so there is a lot there. I am trying to scroll back to the original message so that I can print them. It is taking forever to go scroll back to the first message. Like hours. I scroll back 1 screen. Get a message that it is loading. Finally loads, then I try to scroll back to previous one. Takes forever to load, like 2 minutes or more. Then that screen of messages load and I scroll back to the next one. On and on. Side note the later messages seemed to load more quickly, not that I am farther back it takes longer. Anyone know why it would take that long to scroll back to the original message

iMessage keeps crashing when I try to print out message history. Has anyone else had problems with iMessage crashing when you try and print out more than a few pages of history? I've tried everything, restarting computer, force quitting app, even installed newest OS. I've done this in the past and never had any issues. My daughter recently passed and I'm trying to save our message history as a pdf. :(

iMessage opens to compose new message instead of the text list After the latest update, iMessage is opening the compose new message window instead of opening to the list of texts. When I am alerted of a new text and click on it to reply, it automatically opens the compose new message window. Beyond annoying! What’s the fix for this?

This has been a problem for me since installing Sonoma. I have checked with both my adult children. Neither of them can print a text thread since installing Sonoma. Had my husband try. He can't either. I have a machine that I did not update to Sonoma, and it continues to be able to print text threads out of iMessage. I did NOT have a problem with this (nor did the rest of my family) until updating to Sonoma. This is true of long threads and very short threads. I get the spinning rainbow and have to force quit due to iMessage "not responding."
