Which printer works with the new IOS Sonoma system?

Hi, I just updated my Macbook Air to the Sonoma 14.0 and now it seems like my printer (old one, still with cable..) won't work. I am trying to find another printer, but I would like to know which one is compatible with the system?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.0

My Canon Pixma Pro 100 isn't working any more with my MacBook Pro since I updated to Sonoma 14.4.1. I do professional card printing and photo printing up to 13 x 19. Extremely disappointed you didn't inform your users that the upgrade would make certain printers unusable. I haven't see a reply to luddite_miriam's question for recommendations of printers that do still work with Sonoma 14.4.1

Well, the link in my previous reply is to an HP support page. If they sell the printer today is not really that important. Of interest would be whether a suitable printer driver exists. If you click on the link, it may show a detected or pre-selected operating system. If you now use the Choose a different OS link on the web page to choose Mac OS and version macOS 14 (and update the page) in order to change the preferred operating system, a driver reference to HP Easy Start should appear (at least it does when I try). Whether that option works or not is another matter (if not, it would probably be a good idea to contact HP).

There is a theme here: I have a HL-L2340WD and it too will not come out of sleep mode. I am now beginning to think this is Apple and not the printers.

Apple, can you hear us? Bueller? Bueller...?

Sorry, no, Apple is not hearing you. These are public user-to-user forums, not Apple Support. No one here is an Apple employee, just fellow users like yourself.

Have you called Apple Support about your issue? Bottom line, though, is that the printer manufacturers are responsible for keeping their products compatible with macOS, not Apple.

Thank god I'm not the only one with these printing issues. Brother printer MFC-J1205W is on the list of connectable printers. My Macbook Air is 1 year old, love it, has Sonoma 14.5 (23F79) (these digits in ( ) appeared when I highlighted the Sonoma 14.5 version in the about section)

Issue: I'm getting plain white paper when print jobs are completed.

Checkpoints confirmed: Ink levels-full, Mac & Brother on same WiFi net-yes, Driver = 3.

Result= connection is clear, printer produces plain paper not reading the data or images of each document.
