Music Creation

“Music Creation” differs from previously opened versions. Are you sure you want to open it?

Opening “Music Creation” will allow it to access data from previously used versions of “Music Creation”.

This notification keeps popping up. I do not have an app with that name installed, so I do not open it.

Can someone tell me what is it about? And How can I solve it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

This is a user-to-user support forum. People may (or may not) be able to help you. But, in the end, you are going to need to do the work to resolve your issue. If you want someone to "fix it" for you, I suggest you contact Apple directly using the Support link at the bottom left of every page of these forums.

I'm no computer genius, but I started with a simple Google search of the error message. I found an article from Apple Support about Logic Pro that states "Other Apple music creation apps such as MainStage and GarageBand share the same Sound Library location."

So, there's a definite connection to this error among Logic Pro, GarageBand, and MainStage. At this point, "Open Anyway" is almost surely a safe option.

Additionally:

System Settings -> General -> scroll down -> Storage Settings -> Music Creation folder

Inside the Music Creation it says "All or part of this content can be removed and reinstalled later if needed."

Since the error says "Music Creation differs from previously..." I'm going to delete what's currently inside this folder. Hopefully, it will recreate the files and stop being different than before. Or, I might just click "Open Anyway" and see if that does the trick.

This is happening to me too after updating my OS. I do not use Garageband. It isn't even in my dock. Not sure how this 'IdrisSeabright' is Level10 Support making silly assumptions with several people repeating it is happening to them too. Can we get someone on this to actually do some legwork and pretend to care and provide answers?

This started happening to me today - but it wasn't associated with the Sonoma update. It occurred immediately after I updated Logic Pro. As a result of this I assessed that it was associated with a new version of one of the Logic support files and opened it anyway - with absolutely no ill results. I am therefore confident that it is a Logic/Garageband issue, and that there is no reason not to accept the "open anyway" option.
