iOS 17.1.1 - Issues with iPhone touch screen

This morning I updated my iPhone 15 pro (3 week old phone) to iOS 17.1.1. Prior to the update everything worked fine. After the update the touch screen does not respond. The screen works and the buttons work, but the touch feature is completely unresponsive. I have restarted the phone using the up vol, down vol and hold the power button several times with no success on restoring touch.

I can still wirelessly charge my phone, but wired charging does not work either. (this is also a new issue post 17.1.1 update)

Anyone else seeing these issues? Any suggestions before I go back to ATT?

IF this happens, DON'T go to the Apple Store. All you have to do is this:

tap the volume up once
tap the volume down once
hold the power button until you see the apple logo (it will take about 40 seconds so be patient)

Then, VOILA! Restored!

Update - after about 2 hours on the phone with Apple, I was sent a new 15 pro. Updated to 17.1.1 right from the start with no issues.

Iphone 11 updated to ios 17.1.1 and screen blacks out when a call and goes in and out. The screen goes black every time I try to touch a button. This is very annoying, any suggestions would help

I have the same issue but can’t even force the shutdown. Any ideas on how to force a shutdown that doesn’t require the use of the touchscreen slider.

I had a same, I got round it by quickly pressing volume up, quickly press volume down and then press and hold the right side button until the Apple logo appears, mine then became responsive again

Had this sme error Tried again got same error but after doing volume uo and down and side button apple logo appeared and Iphone screen is back up now.

You are amazing kind sir, virtual beer to you. This fixed what hours on the phone with apple could not do! It didn't work initially but after I updated my MacBook to the latest update, this worked!!
