iOS 17.1.1 - Issues with iPhone touch screen

IPhone 15 plus, initially charging port did not work, now touch is unresponsive , both happened after the software update, I am out of my town in remote place , how should I get it corrected, it’s a brand new phone 3 months old, kindly help

This is *not* a valid solution, though it is a valid workaround. Answering “buy a Mac, then mess with Apple Configurator” (a tool that 99.999% of people here will have zero context of or history with) is simply not a valid ask.

Apple needs to step up, admit this is an issue, and fix it. They told me my only option was to literally mail my phone in for “repairs” and that it’d be wiped clean or I’d get a new one. That’s hilariously unacceptable. Thankfully I’m a software engineer by trade, but god help me if my mother across the country hits this issue.

When you did the restore, did you have to do it from a back up? Or did it do a factory reset (wipe) and then you restored?

Same thing happened to me. I have an iphone 13. It fixed the issue after I force restarted but after a couple of hours screen turned back into being distorted.

Hi Kevin. Just wanted to know if apple was able to sort out the issue? In the same situation as you whereby I do not want to full wipe my phone.

Same issue. The error occurs when trying to install iOS in step 4 (after downloading and unzipping). Nothing happens on the phone.

I'm currently stuck in DFU Mode. I have to find a way to resolve that before I can determine a way to Update, instead of Restore (I don't have a Backup).

Iphone 11 updated to ios 17.1.1 and screen blacks out when a call and goes in and out. The screen goes black every time I try to touch a button. This is very annoying, any suggestions would help

I have the same issue but can’t even force the shutdown. Any ideas on how to force a shutdown that doesn’t require the use of the touchscreen slider.
