Because I edit when I travel, I've been finding my MB Pro (2017) heavy and been considering a MacBook Air. My editing needs are pretty fundamental, mostly cuts without effects. My question is whether the MB Air can handle FCP.
I'd love to have a lighter, smaller tool for editing on the road.

It will run Final Cut, but with heavy editing projects the MacBook Air will get hot, and that gives less performance. The MBP has active cooling so this problem is not there with the MBP
