iPhone 15 not sharing location

So, I tried a bunch of different things.

Settings > Mobile Data and then Enable for Find My

didn't work for me, even after reset,

HOWEVER—in Settings > Find My, there was an option to opt-in into something called the Find My Network.

I did that + resetting my phone and Find My location is working normally again.

it only started since I’ve had the new iPhone 15PRO No issues with my previous iPhone 11. I Have researched every possible thing to do to make this fix. Can I return my iPhone 15PRO and get one that’s functions as it’s supposed to ?

SOLVED.

Ok, so what you do:

First you navigate, Settings > Screen Time

Then DISABLE “Share Across Devices”

This should fix your problem.

I then shared my location through “messages” by openinging the messages with the person you want to share your location with, clicking their name/icon at the top/centre of the page, then clicking share my location.

This took me hoursssss to find the exact thing that was blocking the share.

they had to click on my photo at the top of the imessage, click on stop sharing location, then click on share location, indefinitely. took a few minutes but there live locations started showing up in imessage.

This works 100%!!! GUYS IF THIS IS HAPPENING TO YOU—- GO INTO SCREEN TIME SETTINGS, SCROLL DOWN AND HIT “SHARE ACROSS DEVICES” I know it sounds crazy cause what the heck does screen time have to do with sharing your location over messages— but it fixes the bug!!!

THIS WORKS!!!!! Sign out of your Apple ID, turn iPhone off, sign back in to Apple ID. I did this and then went through the find my app and hit share with a friend that was sharing their location with me already and it worked!!!

Heres what worked for me - Sign out & back in your Apple ID then restart your device! This worked for me! Hope this can help someone!

My fiancé had the same issue. I was able to share my location with him, but he couldn’t share his with me. I would send an invite to him to share his location and he would click accept, only nothing happened and on my end it just kept saying “invitation sent.” We solved this by going into Settings, navigate to Screen Time. Your “Share Across Devices” should be turned off, but turn it on! Then, you can go to messages to the person you want to share location with, and send them your location to follow for however long you prefer. I hope this helps!

I had to turn on find my network for my spouse to see my location. He already had find my network on, but I didn’t and I could see him fine. It constantly drops the location and have To reshare. Hopefully this works.

On your iPhone, iPad or Mac, open the Find My app. Tap or click the People tab. Select a family member's name, then select it again to see the menu. Tap or click Share My Location.

We are still seeing issues with my daughter's iPhone 15. It seems that iPhone 15 users need to remove themselves and then reshare their location. This fix only lasts a couple of days and then we have to repeat. With every update, iOS becomes more unnecessarily complex. At this point, I can only guess this is purposeful (I'm unsure why).

(1) Go to Settings.

(2) Then go to Find My.

(3) Then, make sure you are sharing your location from “this device”.

I notice if the person does not have the same IOS as you, it will not share the location. Especially if you have a iPhone 15 and someone else has something lower than a 15. Update the software on both phones and double check the locations services to see if it’s on and it should share with no issues.

I am having a similar issue with my new iPhone 15 Pro Max. I had no issues with location sharing on my 12 Pro Max. The issue is seeing folks' locations (who are sharing it with me) through the iMessage app. I keep getting "Location Not Found". If I go into the Find My app, I see some that I don't get through iMessage, and some others I DO see in iMessage, I am not seeing their location within Find My app. I tried someone's suggestion of signing out and back into my Apple ID, then restarting the phone, but that seems to have made it worse. Now in iMessage, it appears that I have to Share Location and Request Location again with everyone I was previously sharing with. But, the Find My app still shows all as before: I still have location shared with all my family and friends and I still see location of them as well.

If they shared their location with you? If not ask them to share.Possibly they have stopped sharing their location with you.
