iPhone 15 not sharing location

Here is the problem and the answer:

The problem is that the location you are trying to see is no longer displayed in Messages. It is displayed in FindMy. However (and this is the real problem) there are two FindMy accesses. Most people, like me, go to settings and search for FindMy. There is no access here. There is an icon on the Home Screen now that is labeled FindMy. Open this, select People and voila!.. there it is. I hope this helps. It works but the instructions assume too much.

Possibly they have stopped sharing their location with you. See the pic below, which may explain their action

You may again send a request to them to start sharing their location with you.

I can’t see my daughter’s location and my husband can’t share his. I can share my with him and my daughters can see each others. We have been through all the resets, do this, that with AppleCare. Anyone else having trouble getting this resolved. All new IPhone 15. Max Pro daughter I can see

I am having a similar issue with my brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max. I had no issues with location sharing on my 12 Pro Max. The issue is seeing folks' locations (who are sharing it with me) through the iMessage app. I keep getting "Location Not Found". If I go into the Find My app, I see some that I don't get through iMessage, and some others I DO see in iMessage, I am not seeing their location within Find My app. I agree with the earlier person, my iPhone 12 Pro was less buggy than this one.

Same problems with my wife. She can see me, I cant see her. I send her the invite, she accepted it and still nothing. In my phone she appears as "invite send" but nothing happened. We never had issues before but after the last iOS is simply impossible...I´ve tried everything with no luck....

I resolve her phone number that show "unavailable for" in her iCloud user setting; also check in iMessage...nothing works!!

Im going to see if we can use Google Maps for that and if is possible I´ll switch to it for ever!!

can someone help me understand why I can't view my friends locations in the iMessage app on an iPhone 15 while I can view them all through the find my app? It's not that they're not sharing, not that their location services are off (since I can see their locations in the find my app), and it's not that their phones are offline....

Yip I can see family members on two other phones and logging on my MacBook I can see them all but once on my iPhone 15 pro I then can’t track one of my family members. Very frustrating since apple stopped this Manuel refresh option. Why do the play around with stuff that’s obviously working and then cause problems by changing stuff?

I’m experiencing the same issue with my iPhone 15 Pro. I’ve tried resetting, restarting, and checking all the settings, but I still get the “share location unavailable” message. My old iPhone worked fine too, so I’m wondering if it’s a device-specific problem.

That wasn’t turned on, on my iPhone 15 pro & still doesn’t work. Where I can turn on find my iPhone it’s a very light green color, not the brighter green when it’s on.

It will not allow me to do so. The text is soft grey. I have tried everything including 3 x reboot...
