Why does it say "Numbers '09" when I "export to" from Numbers?

I use Numbers to create estimates and invoices for my screen printing and design customers. Whenever I "export to" the app drops down and to save as a Numbers file, the option says "Numbers '09" even though I have the most current version updated. It is not a big deal, but I am just curious why. Any input is appreciated!

Are you asking why does the export to menu include Numbers '09?

On mac OS using the latest version of Numbers, I see a menu like this.

Is this what you see?

When export you are implicitly saying I want to change the format.

When you export are you trying to provide a PDF to your client? If so you can still go though the export menu AND you may consider trying the more natural method (in my opinion) to print to a PDF using the print features.

select the menu item "File > Print". This will enter print setup mode.

When you're ready to print, click the button "Print" in the bottom right:

Then choose "Save as PDF…"

:

Then click the button "Done" when you are finished printing (or type the escape key)

Wayne, yes this is exactly what I see and was curious why it said "09" in there. I save both a Numbers file copy as well as a PDF for the customer. The numbers is the "master" that I keep in case updates or adjustments are needed later. I also created a pricing calculator in Numbers that also gets saved for every estimate, so that I can reference it later when re-quoting that job or something new for that customer. Its nice to see how it was priced per job because sometimes I give some customers breaks on screen charges or specialty prints. Keeping the calculator is super helpful when I need to reference it later. Thanks for the reply!
