When I click on Greeting to set up my voice mail on my new phone (I’ve had for a few weeks now), I receive a pop up box error that says: The operation couldn’t be completed (com.apple.mobilephone error 1034). Then the box disappears and the screen just sits there cycling saying “retrieving greeting” at the top. I went to the AT&T store and they said they couldn’t do anything about it there at the store.

Try changing your voicemail greeting by calling yourself and entering your voicemail code. Then I believe you can choose an option to change your greeting. Regular voicemail still works on AT&T.
No, you only need to reset your cellular data. If you have the same number, just turn it off then on again.
It’s off. I’ve contacted carrier, I’ve reset the phone. Doesn’t get rid of custom greeting to use default. Default will not save and reverts to custom. I do not want the custom greeting.
Considering what we pay for these freaking phones they should provide a fix. It’s been asked to be fixed for ages. The carrier cannot fix it; I’ve tried.
