second phone call log appearing on my iphone
Since updating our phones to iOS 17 my wife's call log and voicemails are appearing on my iphone. We have had the same Apple id since 2009 and never had this issue.

The problem has been solved and had nothing to do with sharing an id. It was on the carrier's end when a new eSim was installed recently and they corrected the problem. All I had to do was reset my iphone and set up my voicemail again. Like I stated in my original post, we have been sharing the same apple id including 20+ Apple devices for 14 years with no as in zero problems.
