I had the same issue on a MacBook pro M3 16" running macos 14.4.
The solution was to download the latest version of Display link (1.10.1 at the time of writing) and update the firmware on the D6000 go the latest version (requires Windows)
If this doesn't work you might need to uninstall the old version of Display Link before Installing the latest version.
It's now working on the built in display and 2 x Dell 27" monitors.
Hi all same issue, on m M1 MacBook Pro Max I had a Dell D6000 docking station with it outputting to 3 external monitors across the 2 DP and 1 HDMI off the dock. With the new M3 it only displays external monitors connectd to DP and not the HDMI. If I plug my M1 back in it works perfect on all 3 monitors. Same version of Display Link installed on both the M1 and M3.
Whats up with the M3?
I have the exact same issue. With my old macbook pro from 2017 it worked flawless, also with a m1. But with this m3 I am not able to connect 3 monitors simultaneously. Is it a driver issue from apple or displaylink?
They should fix this ASAP!
Does 3 externals works on M3 standard or Pro? I am wondering buying a new MBP to use with my D6000 connected to 3 external 1080i displays (working fine in single USB-C on my current MBP M1).
Apple site says:
M3 standard: 1 external display; Pro: 2 external displays; and Max 4 external displays.
Buy 14-inch MacBook Pro - Apple
But also says only one external for my current M1 but it pushes 3 externals just fine with D6000 + DisplayLinkManager.
Should I take the risk?
What have you done ? :(( I am using the latest DisplayLink Manager Graphics Connectivity which is 1.9, I have updated the Dell D6000 firmware using a windows machine.
I connect the docking station to the laptop, the LED on the station turns white but it is only charging and DisplayLink Manager says "No displaylink enabled display connected"
Are you able to add a third monitor to your setup, just for testing? 2 are working fine for me too.
😞 sorry I don’t have a 3rd monitor
When I power of the first or second screen, than the third one will connect itself automatically. I think it is a driver issue too.
I have the same issue! With the m1 and the macbook pro from 2017 no problems.
Who should fix this? Apple or Synaptics?
This works for 2 monitors! Thanks!
I was under the impression that the HDMI was passthrough connection, are you using displaylink in that configuration and also does that mean you're only using two monitors rather than three?
