Infrared light flashes all the time when iPhone is activated safety

Anybody have any advice about flood illuminator and infrared light safety? It flashes all the time even if you turn off Face ID. Anybody knows any official details from apple about it? We watch the screen hours a day, every day. Is it safe? why it flashes all the time even if Face ID is completed turn off?


According to the above study there is effect from infrared light to the eyes.


Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏

There is no way to turn off the IR light (infrared) it is used for attention awareness and Face ID, IR can not hurt you unless you are exposed to a lot for a long period of time.

So what I infer from your answer and the article you refer to about the “class 1 laser for iPhone” is despite the flood illuminator can flashes your eyes and face 3-4 hours a day and everyday, due to the very low power output is not going to be harmful. Does matter that is some hours everyday (because is very low power output can not harm)


You may know why flood illuminator should continue to flash all the time even if Attention-Aware Feature is turned off? Which service does it use it?
