I used to be able to edit text messages. I just downloaded version 17.1.1 and that feature is no longer there. How do I edit text messages with IOS 17.1.1?

You can still edit a recently-sent message up to 5 times within 15 minutes of sending it. From the Messages app on your iPhone, select a conversation with the message you want to edit. Touch and hold the message bubble, then tap Edit.
Well it would be nice if u could fix it with cut and paste but they stuffed that too i cant belive it please let us go back in opperating systems so things can work again
March 2023: STILL not fixed. Still annoying. They have more money than the US national reserve, yet Apple users all still languishing with this non-functioning feature.

This is happening for me after updating to 17.4. What gives, APPLE! why do you giveth and then taketh!?

I need the edit text feature back! It is very stressful not to be able to correct typos.
