Clock And Calendar appears randomly but then goes away in my iPhone

Sometimes when my phone is rotated portrait mode or horizontally, the clock and calendar just appear when i get some sort of notification or something i think or when my phone turns on randomly it appears but then goes away. I'm not sure if i'm explaining it right but i've looked it up so many times and have gotten no where.

The photo I added is what just happens to pop up. Sometimes it's just in black and red. One time I even got one of those memory widgets on there. Remember this is my lock screen when i haven't used my face ID yet. I don't need it fixed, it's kinda cool but just wondering what it is.

I turned it on but still it is not working. However is 100% charged and the room is almost dark. I could not set it up when vertical is.

Is there anyway to activate always ? Absolutely great to have the time and calendar when I am working at my desk. Any app similar ? Cheers

As you apparently didn’t read the page where you posted, I’ll repeat what it says (right above your post):

You can't use the Standby screen as your regular lock screen. Standby is only triggered if the phone is 1) connected to power and 2) in landscape mode.

To get mine to display, it was plugged in,

turn it off (sleep mode by just clicking the power button once)

turn it horizontal

click it on

touch the screen with one finger and hold for about 5 seconds

should turn on the red display if low light.

Does go away when operating phone notmally.

Yes, Standby Mode does work on an iPhone 13 if it's in landscape mode and charging. However, the screen will go dark after a short time. The newer phones that have the option for Always On Display don't.

Hello. I have this same screen as my standby screen.. Recently though, all of the numbers for the clock disappeared, only showing the hands. In addition, where the numbers should be showing for the calendar are just squares.. If I slide up or down through the different options on the right side, all other options only show squares or rectangles where data should be displayed.

Can anyone offer any help for this?

Brian
