After iOS 17.1.1 update my iPhone apps are not working correctly

The last update screwed up apps and other stuff on my phone. Now there’s another update, is this update going to fix the screw ups from the last update? George Orwell must of been psychic when he wrote “1984”. We’re definitely being ease dropped on. And from now on when I’m not using my phone I will keep it face down with the camera lenses covered. I shouldn’t be bothered about else dropping since when I try to use voice commands the phone screws those up too. I have a iPhone 13mini. I HATE IT! I want to go back to 6s. I have 2 requirements if I’m ever going upgrade to a new iPhone again, PHONE MUST HAVE A HOME BUTTON AND FIT IN THE FRONT POCKET OF MY SKINNY JEANS. GOING TO LOOK INTO GETTING A NEW BATTERY FOR MY 6s so I can stop using this peace of **** iPhone 13.

This is the worst Apple download ever 17.1! When I’m voice typing a text which I do 90% of the day with my clients, it puts in capital letters in the middle of a sentence and commas where they don’t belong. There’s a little blue highlight shadow that keeps following my verbal text and when I try to go back to correct a word that might’ve not have come through completely it takes away the whole sentence ! This whole thing is annoying. I hate Samsung but I’m considering moving over there because I always complained that with Samsung you have to take two or three extra steps compared to Apple. Now Apple is now the same way! When I go to attach a photo I could go down below but now I have to go to two different screens to find my pictures to attach. Someone needs to fix this!

I totally agree. I have been suffering through many of the same problems. This is beyond absurd. It smacks of Apple having a lack of effective quality control and a general disregard for its customers. Even in writing this up, I have had a nightmarish experience due to the auto correct feature regressing to something far worse than when it was first released years ago in the marketplace. Moreover, I find that I am unable to forward any photos I want to send to others via any available options such as text, email, etc.

To Apple: This update is a complete embarrassment and failure. You can and must do better. We were already on the precipice of transitioning to a competitor in the future. If this isn’t fixed very soon to our liking, we will definitely move on beyond Apple.

I showed and explained this issue to a “genius” at my local Apple Store. He seemed very confused and said he has not heard of any problems with the 17.1.1 update. Also said he could not help me as this was not a “real problem”…the screen had “not changed” even though it has…

Im beginning to suspect all Apple support techs are forbidden to acknowledge the update problems…

Per the Genius Bar at my local Apple, “there is no problem” and all the issues I showed them were very confusing to the tech specialists. Said “Apple does not fix software problems”…I asked who fixes Apple software problems, they looked at each other and said, “don’t know, probably a 3rd party…” I walked out, 2 hours later, with zero answers to all my questions.

17.1.2 all ads in my games come up black. If I tap, it goes to whatever game is being advertised. This just began about 2 days ago. Fix this please.

and can I just reiterate that this is, by far, the buggiest update I’ve had to deal with. Thank all the Gods I’m not still working tech support for the Death Star.

Since update I can’t any web page to load via Safari, Facebook messenger won’t load. Phone is freezing when trying to text. Tried to reboot my phone and it got stuck and froze at the 911 screen. Main issues is I basically can’t use my phone because several apps and website no longer load. Can’t text because my screen freezes mid sentence. Can’t reboot it. No

idea how to fix this issue.

My texts are starting to freeze, too. It seems every day another issue. I use my phone at work and this have become urgent for me. Since Apple continues to ignore this widespread problem and pretend it doesn’t exist, I’m going to have no choice but to switch to android. STAT!

I’ve got 17.1.2 and still having issues. Game apps have videos so you can get stuff. At 62, I still like to get stuff. But 95% of the ads come up black. So there is no way to click through for your stuff.

I’m having the opposite problem! Now, when I search something everything is so tiny, I have to enlarge everything (another step), which increases the chance of hitting a link I don’t want! All I want to do is search. Then, scroll. Just like I did before this ridiculous update! Also, when searching for products, if I click on something, instead of taking me to the product for details, a split screen automatically pops up (in tiny font) that doesn’t allow my to close or exit out of! I hate this! How do I fix it? Is it Safari or the update?

I did the iOS 17.1.2 update. And it did NOTHING to help >:-(

messaging is the worst! I have to use swipe type or whatever the correct term is and every since the update (BOTH of them) three things have changed.

1. If I get the wrong word I could always backspace and AC would give me, typically, the correct word I wanted. Post update... NOPE!
2. WTAF is with the + sign and adding 2-3 steps just to add a pic or gif etc...
3. Constantly changing caffeinated to Vaginated!? Just stop it! Although that last one had provided hours of entertainment to my friends and family, business connections are not so amused.
4. STOP changing whole sentences‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Apple... I have been loyal like the other 1k plus people bitc.... about this, but I have a track phone sitting idle in a drawer that's looking mighty **** good right now. And I WILL hit those buttons 3-4 times for one letter like the OG I am.

This update is absolutely terrible. My phone stalls now, I don’t get all of my texts or notifications, i am having trouble accessing features during texts. This was the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen from apple. It’s not just me either. My mom, my wife and my daughter all have the same problems. My phone is Now behaving like it has bugs. What’s worse it the phone forced me to update. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Apple people, what are you doing? Your latest update has me completely confused and frustrated! It used to be so easy to swipe up on my Apple Watch to find my phone, check my battery life, use the flashlight, etc. Now I can’t do any of those things! Why did you need to change that? I would’ve rather seen an undo in writing notes. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve lost a particular note that I also can’t back up without resetting my entire phone. I’m trying to figure out how to find my phone and it gives me phone numbers that aren’t even mine, then when I do find my correct number it doesn’t freaking work! The last update on my watch nearly cost it to crash permanently. I can’t stand android because they are confusing enough, and now Apple apparently has done the same thing. I’m ready to sell my watch and my phone because you seem to just randomly change stuff that doesn’t need changing. I’m very unhappy and disappointed in you guys.

So Red…. Just when is this “stabilization” gonna happen? Because at this rate with as many times as I have to backspace to correct little miss autocorrect, that tracphone sitting in the drawer is looking pretty **** good right now.

Does anyone else work on Zazzle, Society6 and/or Redbubble, etc? I have lost the ability to work from my phone on these sites because I cannot copy and paste. When I try, it loses the format I copied and runs everything together with %20 shoved in between every word! I'm so angry, I could spit nails!
