Has anyones Apple Watch Series 7 screen gone completely black after their most recent update?

After the update in late October, but battery would die within 3 hours, even though being fully charged. I called, they said it was my watch. They helped me reset it and it worked fine after that, because it reset to factory without the latest update. Then another update came due to “some” watches battery dying faster than usual. So I updated it, BIG mistake. A few days after updating my watch, I was on my phone at work and I noticed my screen went all glitching and then it went completely black. So out of frustration, I rest my watch back to factory, hoping that would help, but nope. Not I have a watch that “works” as in it wants to pair with my phone, but I can’t pair it because the screen is still black. It’s just been sitting on my nightstand. I need to contact Apple to see if they can help. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, similar situation. I've been able to confirm the watch is still active by pressing the crown and side button, sometimes just the side button...and then quickly clicking the side button 3 times... sometimes that makes the watch voice that it is voice dictating (says it is ON or OFF) as you continue to click it quickly 3 times. After doing (another) total reset and unpair with iPhone, it won't re-pair now...

Good luck.

My Series 7 had a problem with the last update. It never completed the update and looked like it was generating an error log. I was apple to reboot it, restart the update and it apparently took. A few days later the watch just started to randomly open up apps, sometimes multiple apps. A lot of times those apps were actively running (i.e. the watch thought I was working out). Battery started quickly draining quickly. I've rebooted, reset, cleared the data and it was continuing. Now the watch has totally stopped displaying anything. My iPhone says it is still connected and I can see what the watch charge is but I've lost any ability to see or use the watch display.

My Apple iWatch Series 7 is now just an expensive paper weight...hoping it was a glitch in the IOS update that will be fixed and I can possibly "blindly" (without a watch display...makes entering a passcode rather difficult) reboot it to upload any future updates.

Good Luck to you.
