how do you reset a mac wireless keyboard

In emails and writing a report my keyboard enters different symbols when I use É (suppose to be a question Mark ), È (suppose to be a quotation mark ) and etcetera. How do I revert back to normal symbolsÉ

You go to system settings > keyboard > text input > input sources and get rid of the Canadian French (or whatever other foreign language keyboard) is on the list, and make sure you only have US or ABC.

If you are running something old, it's system preferences > keyboard > input sources

Apple menu -> System Preferences -> keyboard -> Input Sources.

You might also find it under International System Preferences if your operating system is old enough. Picking the international keyboard will let you choose what inflections are mapped to what keys. If you show Input menu in the menubar. a character block will appear in the right hand side of the menu that lets you open a Keyboard Viewer. This viewer will automatically update with modifier keys selected to show you which inflections are mapped to which keys.
