I was on iCloud .com and got a notification asking if I was trying to sign in from a town about 60-70 miles away.. should I be concerned.. also getting notifications asking me for the password to “local” either that or password for my id. These pop ups happen a few minutes apart but sometimes every 20 30 seconds.. it’s an iPhone 12 that I’ve had for a little over a year. With no major problems till now..

Your ISP provided that data as the location for the IP address you are currently using. IP geolocation is routinely incorrect. Keeping the geolocation data correct costs more, and “more” correct geolocation data also puts the user at higher risk as the accuracy of the geolocation data improves.

For the pop-ups, if you have a subscribed calendar you don’t expect, remove it. See if that quiets the pop-ups. Here is how to: Delete spam calendars and events on iPhone - Apple Support

Thanks for the info.. I was kind of thinking about the geolocation angle as it wasn’t the first time that happened it just hadnt for a while..

as far as the other pop up notifications asking for password, I tried the reboot and I’ll try it again im sure, and there was a dodgy calendar in the app so I deleted it… I’ll see what happens.. and thanks again
