Can I use an iPad backup I saved to my MacBook Air to transfer data to new iPhone 15 pro max because my iPhone 13 quit before I could transfer

I was in the middle of backing up and installing the latest software on my iPhone 13 via my MacBook Air when the phone froze and I cannot even get it into restore mode. I only needed that update to transfer the info to a new iPhone 15 pro max.

can't restore iPhone from backup using latest Mac OS I just got a replacement iPhone 13. I have my previous iPhone 12 backed up to my MBP. I can plug the new phone into the Mac and it comes up in the device list and offers me the option of restoring from backup. The phone also displays a "Connected" message. However, once I click to begin the restore process, I get a few seconds of the "Restoring" bar moving followed by Finder closing out the window and the phone displays a message asking for a computer connection. Any thoughts? Thanks

Yes, you will be able to use the backup created by an iPad to restore it to your iPhone 13 through your MacBook Air.
