I can’t send MMS picture messages to android phones.

About two weeks ago, I stopped being able to send picture MMS messages to non-Apple phones. Since updating to iOS 17.1.2. I have Contacted Telstra, who is my carrier, and done troubleshooting for two hours plus. I have reset and restored my phone. Have reset network setting several times Have ensured all settings are correct, I gave up in the end, thinking that if I just wait for iOS 17.2 that would fix the problem.

It became available for me yesterday, and I downloaded it straight away but to no avail.

My carrier assures me that there is nothing wrong at their end. I have checked with other iPhone, 14 users on the same iOS software and they are also having the same problem. At least three other people that I know of. I can’t see anything that addresses on the Apple support community, but surely we three can’t be alone?

This has happened before in the past for a couple of days and then rectified itself so I am assuming it is software or patch related.

Can anyone help?

iPhone 14, iOS 17

This is happening with all Apple devices in our company - also Telstra.

Telstra have confirmed no known issues.

Numerous devices have been tested with Factory Reset and Network Reset - no resolution.

Unable to send/receive MMS messages full stop (to/from Apple/Android).

I am certain this is a larger scale issue.

EDIT: Upon further testing, this is only affecting Apple on Telstra network, other carriers are not affected.

Ok people this has been super frustrating and I can share what I have done to try resolve it without success…. I’ve contacted Telstra and gone through all the possible resets and tests they offer. I put my sim in an iPhone 8 it didn’t work. I tried another iPhone 8 it worked. I have an iPhone X or 10 or whatever it is and it just stopped sending pictures about a week ago I think. It’s definitely related to the phone somehow not the carrier following my tests and checks… I don’t understand how it can be faulting from an iPhone 8 through to 15. I know someone having the same fault with an iPhone 15. Like you guys I updated my phone today with the new update hoping it would fix it but unfortunately it didn’t. It leaves me to think it’s a glitch in the Apple software because the sim works and sends pictures fine in a donor iPhone 8… hopefully we can get this fixed soon because I don’t want to be forced into buying a new phone unnecessarily!! And I need this feature resolved for work!

Finally someone at telstra who has assisted.

Someone poked around and made some network changes. The was a "misalignment in the network". haha yeah right (funnily the last three telstra people were not able to do this in the first place)

The person fixed it anywyas which is the point. The issue definitly was with Telstra not Apple.

Best of luck. Thank you to anyone who contributed.

Any chance you can advise of the contact or Store? We came back from the US early Jan and now the 4 of us can't send MMS to android phone. I went to Telstra last week and they 'tried' resolving but ended up saying we'd need to get new mobile numbers as they only way they could get it to work was with a brand new phone number. They think the service has broken as we used e-Sim when over there but I'd expect this to be happening to heaps of people and no one is wanting to get new mobile numbers. Any help would be appreciated.
