apple watch is no longer tallying move objectives

I am close to obtaining the 1250 badge, however for several days the watch is stuck on 1236 move days and is no longer adding new days when the move objective is met. I think this is the case since the newest iOs upgrade. How can I fix this? Will I be stuck at 1236 forever?

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

The move days should be stored on your iPhone. I had a similiar problem, and after a few days the problem "automagically" fixed itself. I have no idea what I did to fix it.
