iPhone 15 updated to iOS 17.2 and thereafter message syncing with iCloud is paused.
tried restarting
tried manually switching on/off in settings-icloud-messages in iCloud.
nothing works.
dont know if it resolved or not.
any help would be much appreciated.

Hi guys. I was facing the same issue after getting a new phone and updating to 17.2. Try this - settings > your name > iCloud > apps using iCloud (show all) > messages in iCloud > this should show the status of your sync and should then give you the option to “sync now”. I’m hoping you all see this option! So far so good.
I forgot to include in my "Me Too" response that the sync button on my iMac in the Message app is greyed out and doesn't work either.
Do you all have “Advanced Data Protection” turned on? Mine is turned on, and I’m wondering if that has something to do with “Syncing paused” issue.

Same issue. Syncing paused on MBP, iPad mini and Pro. my iPhone was able to sync successfully though.
Post got removed because I mentioned beta but to answer your question it is not fixed in any current version

Yes it’s somewhat fixed just not sure how and when it does the update but hitting sync now actually syncs and I don’t get the syncing paused anymore
how about the iCal to Oulook calendar defaul alert issue?
I confirm the iMessage Sync issue is now FIXED in iOS 17.3.0.
Unfortunately, I am still encountering this issue on my 15 plus. It appears to be syncing; however, eventually the status returns to synced pause
