Photos App Videos not showing in import for CapCut for Desktop

Hi All, I'm trying to edit my iPhone videos on Capcut for desktop as it's easier than doing it on my iphone. On the Photos app on my Mac all my videos are showing so they have fully synced yet when I go into 'import' and select 'Photos' under the 'Media' option on the Capcut menu it's only showing a select few videos and all of my photos. There is no option to show all of my Videos from my Photos app in the same way it shows all my Photos that I can find. I have tried dragging and dropping a video from the Photos app directly into the Capcut program but it drops it as an image file. I got a Mac because I thought this kind of stuff was supposed to be easier with everything syncing between Mac and iPhone including video editing programs but apparently not! Is there something obvious I'm missing here?! Or do I need to try a different way to get my iPhone videos on to the Capcut for desktop app? Any help massively welcome thanks guys!
