HomePod mini Setup failed (301036)

I just spent hours trying to reconnect one of three HomePod minis that stopped working for some reason…


after every single fix I could find: restart iPhone/iPad. Force reset HomePod. Connect HomePod to Mac and have it update and reset HomePod. Literally did everything… including checking all my settings and info on Apple ID.


now instead of “unable to connect to wifi” I get this brand new error code.


please help!!

One thing you might check before trying to setup this HomePod again is to make sure that you have the Private Wi-Fi Address option turned off for the network that you want to connect this HomePod to. Also make sure you only have login credentials for the one Wi-Fi network that you control at your location known to your device.
