I'm facing network issues on my iPhone 15 Pro without even updating to ios 17.2.1 and it's really frustrating. I'm currently on ios 17.2.

From past 2-3 weeks, I am frequently not able to make calls even after both caller and receiver having signals.

If I do able to connect, the voice gets disconnected in between.

Once, mobile data was not working but in my friend's iPhone having ios 17.0 and the same network provider I'm having, was able to browse the internet.

This pretty much proves that something is wrong with ios.

We shell above 1000 bucks on a phone and it doesn't connect to internet, can't make calls, and what not.

I'm fond of Mac so decided to pick iPhone for the first time expecting similar, good xp.

Please fix the issue, Apple!

I've also got a problem with this update with the alarm as it no longer works properly. Before I was able to customise my alarm with any song in which case I would choose the loudest to wake up as I tend to sleep through alarms. However with the new update the alarm ringtone is stuck on the provided ones by apple and they aren't. Effective at all as they simply turn off after only one ring. It's a terrible feature the older alarm features were so much better

for me the problem was believe it or not had nothing to do with Apple. It is the ACP affordable connectivity program. My carrier Simplemobile told me my account was no longer linked to the ACP program and she relinked it and nowI have full data, phone back to normal. When I attempted to make a call I was getting your phone is not activated. Coincidentally it happened the following day I updated to 17.2.1. For me, it was just an odd coincidence that apparently the ACP program is re-certifying people at the beginning of the year. So call your carrier and ask them why your phone is not activated any longer

have had same problem for over two weeks - no connection to cellular network. I am on T- Mobile. Have had several calls with Apple, no help except they spent a couple hours collecting diagnostics. T- Mobile has installed several eSims that work for a little while, then stop. This update has disrupted thousands of us during the holidays, with no public acknowledgment by Apple, no help, and no end in sight. A disaster for the Apple brand.

If your phone is unlocked you could try another carriers SIM ? Verizon is GSMA , CDMA network. Others are GMST whatever that’s worth. Maybe ask Verizon to unlock your phone.

when you do a reset through iTunes on a PC or Mac laptop. Can you do the reset without having the Sim card in it that should be possible see what happens. Then see if the phone works OK through Wi-Fi only, toggle off Bluetooth and cellular data

The problem may be along these lines please see the link, to an article the 17.2 was an emergency update because of spyware, hacking, etc. 17.2.1 was rushed out, shortly after 17.2. Very suspicious. Spyware, malware, something, damaged your hardware.
