iPhone not working after 17.2.1 update

After updating my iPhone last night to 17.2.1 I can no longer connect to my network provider. Tried the resets and still it does not work!

Trusted Apple and iPhone for years, now not so sure

My issue is with hotspot not allowing my Galaxy Watch 4 connect to it. Before iOS 17.2, there were no issues. Watch shows "IP configuration failure" when I try to connect to iPhone's hotspot. Apple stopped signing 17.1.2 firmware the same day when I was trying to go back. :( This is on my iPhone 12 Mini. I reset the device twice and set it up "as new" phone, nothing helped. It is interesting that other devices such as Pixel 8 and Galaxy S23 are able to connect to my iPhone 12 mini but not my watch.

I updated my phone last night and now the screen isn’t working.. The Lock Screen picture is present, but I cannot type anything or swipe, etc..

I tried to power off but cannot even swipe when prompted. NOTHING works.

Anyone else have this happen or have a solution?

You're welcome. I'm hoping that the many hours I've wasted on this, and the final solution from Apple which only came after a lot of pushback, are of use to you and the thousands of others who seem to be suffering out there.

After I updated my Phone eleven to 17.2.1 my phone won't sync to my IMAC it gets stuck on 3/5 sync even after having the phone connected over two hours! And even when I try to cancel the sync it still gets frozen trying to cancel. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear of all the problems folks are having with iOS 17.2.1.

I am still using iOS 16.7.2 with NO issues. I will update (maybe) to 17.3.x when, and if, it becomes available. Not that I don't trust Apple but, well, I've been an Apple (and Windows) user long enough to know to always stay an upgrade or two behind.

Since the update my phone and my wife's phones have blended our texts. We are both getting the others texts to and from each other. each one shows up double. It's like we have the same phone number.

Since I had updated my iPhone 13 Pro Max with iOS 17.2 my battery drains very quickly. I don’t play game or watch videos but still my battery goes down much faster than before. I am now very worried to update my iPhone to iOS 17.2.1. What should I do?

Since the last 24 hours my iPhone 13 is only showing "Verifying update" and the phone is non-functional. Unable to restart too and do anything about it. Unable to shut down, unable to stop the update. Any known resolution, please

Appel should have a way to go back to a previous iOS, I couldn't go back and I can't find an easy way to do it, it's frustrating since I lost some apps with my PC that they don't detect now and I need them to work. I want to go back to the previous version but I don't know how from my cell phone or in an easy way to restore a version 16.

I'm sorry but tired of how we pay for so much stuff that promises us the better life and yet it never works. He always always ducking with. It never works never better your life at all actually just makes it worse. I'm all these big corporations like Apple android well we didn't guarantee it it will give you a better life we just guaranteed that you could buy a product from us pretty much, I'm tired of this crap I'm tired of being guinea pig I wanna get paid for this crap I gotta test your **** out tell you about it so you can fix it because you didn't test yourself who with me on that many phones are broke. I have 11 promax. After updating to 17.2.1 my phone shuts down by its self. Since last night it restarted more than 20 times which makes its battery extremely hot. The phone hangs after few minutes if I am on screen.

Never happened before. This update is impacting my work.

never had any issues with other updates. This past update as soon as it was done installing my battery draining issues began. Even while charging the battery drains. I put in battery saver mode and the same happens. I have to completely leave my phone alone and not use any app to get it to charge properly and then it’s still slow. My battery functionality level is the same as it’s been for months. This problem only started less than 48 hours ago after the update. Fix this asap

The personal hotspot functionality only works intermittently, and even when it does, it blocks VPN (not on the phone, but on the connected/tethered device). Some kind of **** went into this update, which is likely why Apple was secretive about the changes it made.

Honestly, I've had it. I had to postpone a business lunch because of it. I am looking at Android phones now.

My mom and dad are having the same issue! They just updated.

I was trying not to do this update after reading all the cellular issues, but somehow it installed last night even after I turned auto updates off. Hoping to find solutions.
