Enroll in Remote Management

I just purchased an M1 MacBook Pro through a friend. It is an M1 Max but was in all original packaging and had never been opened. It has been working great but upon a software update a popup saying "enroll in remote management from Applovin is recommended. I understand that big Silicon Valley companies buy huge numbers of these computers and the remaining get sold off. How do I go about getting this removed from my computer?

  • Check for MDM Profile:

Go to System Preferences. Click on Profiles. If you see a profile related to "Applovin" or any other corporate entity, it indicates the device is under MDM control.

  • Remove MDM Profile:

Select the MDM profile. Click the minus (-) button to remove it. Note: This option might be disabled if the profile is enforced. In that case, you'll need assistance from the organization that set up the MDM.

  • Contact Apple Support:

If you're unable to remove the profile, contact Apple Support for assistance. They can guide you through the process and provide additional options.
