Issues on iPhone after iOS 17.2.1 update

SravanKrA seems to be on every inquiry trying to discredit and dismiss every problem people seem to be having with updates and our tech. Coincidentally, all of your comments are truly unhelpful. Highly recommend you stop trolling and don't contribute unless you actually have a solution, especially considering dozens (if not hundreds/thousands) of people have been having crashes and a myriad of problems with this 17.2.1 update. My OS device literally says that the update on my phone is corrupt when I try to restore my phone. It has been malfunctioning and conking out all week so please stop spreading your pandering mess when people are trying to find actual solutions. If you don't have any issues or can't even offer anything beneficial, then please find another message board to troll.

After a while I just gave up and deleted iTunes off my PC, making sure I saved the library for export first!!!!!!!

Full reinstall from Apple website (old version and then upgraded using apple updater), worked normally on both phones that had been upgraded to 17.2.1.

Yep, same here, hotspot won't work at all now after updating IOS so can't run 2-3 other devices off it needed for work. Brand new £1300 iPhone 15 Plus. Apple technical support must know of this issue, seems to be widespread.

I've recreated the exact same problem installing 17.2.1 on my dad's iPhone 11 Pro Max (previously 17.1.2) and hey presto now his phone isn't working either.

I'm going back to Android ASAP.

I’m on an iPhone 11 and I’m having all the same issues and I’ve avoided upgrading and I’ve been running OS 14 for the last two years and everything was fine but as apps started to become outdated, I was forced to upgrade and now all my biggest fears have come true my phone has become very very unreliable and there’s clearly nothing I can do except “wait for the next Fix”

I was forced to a factory reset, touch screen unresponsive on 15 Pro (Verizon) connected to iTunes and sign in there it wanted the 2nd-factor code sent to my phone that I couldn't open. I finally got that from my Apple Watch but if I did not have that not sure what I could have done other than a trip to Verizon or an Apple store.

IOS 17.2.1 upgrade has goofed up all aspects of my iPhone XS, Apple should be ashamed, and offer a way for to back peddle into the previous iOS platform … Apple should be ashamed for releasing this iOS system that has created multiple issues … NO ONE owning Apple products wants this inherently completely Flawed iOS 17.2.1 system.

My phone has become nearly unusable after this update. It’s slow, my battery drains fast, apps crash, the notes app keeps refreshing my place in it if I swipe to change a song, it becomes unresponsive on safari for several seconds as I’m scrolling a website. Please revert this update.

I am facing the following challenges [iPhone 13]

• My phone gets stuck when trying to airdrop so the airdrop menu does not load
• My phone gets stuck when i long press the network connections on control panel
• I cannot add my card on apple pay
• When I got to wallet settings it gets stuck when i click
• When I got to the airdrop settings it gets stuck when I click
• My phone sometimes restarts unprovoked
• When i go to the app sore I cannot swipe up to the home screen its stuck in the app
• The ``bring devices together setting is not appearing``

It's incredibly concerning to see these erroneous claims regarding the inability of iOS/iPad to become compromised unless jail broken or at the hands of an irresponsible user opening themselves up to vulnerabilities. With every update or patch that's released there is always an accompanying link that provides a itemized breakdown and in depth analysis of each individual exploit being patched.

I downloaded yesterday iOS17.2.1 on my iPhone 12. Since yesterday I notice many problems with my phone after this update. My keyboard freezes every time I type something and it's very hard to type. Sometimes I don't get the notifications, I get them after about 10-25 minutes, the screen freezes. It's really hard after doing this update and I can't get the hang of it! I regret updating my phone to iOS17.2.1, it’s my first bad experience with updates. :(

I upgraded to iOS 17.2.1. My iPhone 12 mini no longer charges well on a wireless charger I have two different chargers both of them seem to suddenly not be effective. So please restore this capacity back into your next update.

You really need to make sense when you are describing an issue. Please stop and proof read before you send so that you are able if possible to be helped. Not trying to be rude but this was ridiculous.

I agree for anyone to claim they have never had any issues after an update?!

I also feel they need to fix all the bugs before forcing or nagging us to death to do the update!!

I’ve had iPhones for years but I’m about done - I really don’t have the time to screw around with this every update ! My guess is they are so big they no longer care what the customers want - they are just cocky

That is very wrong. This 17 series updates are not just inconvenient but dangerous and costing money!

I have lost all incoming mail since 2/20/24.

And cant make outgoing calls.

When one thing is fixed another thing goes wrong.
