iPhone 14Pro, fully updated, does not accept passcode and does not connect thru USB with iMac

Starting this morning, 12/22/23, iPhone locked and rejected correct passcode. Connected to iMac (both fully updated software) and iPhone fully charged but iMac does not recognize iPhone (Finder). iPhone displays 'Accessory connected - Unlock iPhone to use accessories. Apple Support does not respond to repeated attempts to speak with an agent.

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).
