I just got an email titled "There is a problem with your payment information". I can't see anything wrong but my extra iCloud storage will be deleted if I don't correct this unknown problem within about one week. Where can I get help to sort this out? Nothing has changed.

Actually this is really sophisticated phishing attempt. In my mail I was advised you to go to settings, general, iTunes and App Store (and of course this option no longer exists on phones). At the bottom of the mail it then says you can update on a Mac or PC (both in blue and clickable links). And there is the phishing link.
What concerns me is that they knew my billing cycle (date and amount) allowing the algorithm to identify the storage plan - as mail correctly addressed the plan size)
I just got it this morning. I decided to add a small sum to my iTunes Store balance, using the same payment method that is supposedly the "problem." The payment immediately processed. So, what's the problem? I'm still not sure if this is an Apple glitch or sophisticated phishing. Any official statement from Apple in the 2 months since the first post?
Had this last night, similar to the "fix visa" button on page 4. But mine asked me to fix paypal. And had a button with a hyperlink that seemed legit (did not follow it though).
So, spent an hour going through my device settings and can't see any issues. So, ignoring it for now.
I have been getting lots of emails saying my apple payment is not correct, error and correct it. When I try to it won't accept the form of payment of the same credit card always used. Not only that, my TV apps, also say my payment it not connected, must update. But in my wallet it shows perfect all my info. this must be a scam. never seen this before. I did update my phone and computer, and still has not cleared. I just saw today a new update in which I am doing it now, hopefully all will go away.
I’ve not had this payment email myself, but thought I would just add; the do_not_reply@iTunes email is legit and actually is still in use by Apple today. I have an old iTunes Match subscription and the receipts for this come from that address.
Thank you for this. My monthly storage receipts from from apple.com too... and I just checked - the legit emails that came from this address were over 10 years ago...

This didn’t work for me, but using PayPal as my pymt method was accepted.
Thanks for the tip PayPal worked when it wouldn’t let me re-enter my cc data via phone or pc/website
the only thing that worked for me was to delete my card from iPhone payments settings and re add it and link back to apple wallet too
Yes, I just got it, which is how i wound up here. I don’t know what to do.
Further to my monster panic, my payment came out as usual on the date with no issues. Glitch or phishing, still not sure. Pain I. The bum? Definitely.
