I just got an email titled "There is a problem with your payment information". I can't see anything wrong but my extra iCloud storage will be deleted if I don't correct this unknown problem within about one week. Where can I get help to sort this out? Nothing has changed.

I followed up with Apple Support. It is a sophisticated phishing attempt. @itunes.com looks legit but it isn’t. Anything from Apple has @apple.com in the email address. If you clicked on any of the links I would change your Apple ID password and make sure you have two-factor authentication working. This is probably the most realistic phishing attempt I have seen to date.
Thank you for this. My monthly storage receipts from from apple.com too... and I just checked - the legit emails that came from this address were over 10 years ago...
As I understand it, email isn’t secure. So all they have to do is intercept your billing email and they have everything they need. (Not sure how this is done.)
@godmother63, sure, the Registrar is as you mention, but the Registrant is Apple, Inc.
Besides, it would be impressive if Apple, who is so protective of its brand, wouldn’t own that domain… 😉

This is incorrect, it’s a widespread issue.
I got a similar message. I ignored it . NowI get a message saying my credit card has expired and I can’t make in app purchases. I checked with my bank and there are no problems with my credit card.

Further to my monster panic, my payment came out as usual on the date with no issues. Glitch or phishing, still not sure. Pain I. The bum? Definitely.
