On the recent calls, if you wanted to delete one, you would press on select and then delete that one and the choice with the word clear all was added to the opposite side and now I’ve deleted all my recent calls, and I needed the dates that I had called those people. You are not going to be able to retrieve a deleted call history log from your iPhone. Once it is deleted, then it is lost forever. The call history log is not backed up during backups as well.
But, all is not lost. You can contact your carrier or sign in to your carrier’s website and review phone calls in your account. Most carrier websites offer this service on their webpage under your account.
