I have an air tag that's less than a month old, it was connecting but no longer is. I've reset it multiple times and even purchased new batteries and it makes a faint connection sound but doesn't pop up on my phone or show up in my find my iphone. Location services are on and everything else in the settings is showing it should connect. Is my air tag defective, is there a warranty on them?
The AirTag comes with the standard Apple limited warranty against manufacturing defects, for up to one year after the purchase date. Since you only had it for a month, and it may possibly be defective, I suggest that you visit your local Apple Store to have an Apple Technician verify that may be the case. If they do, then you may find that you can get a replacement tag at little or no cost to you.
