Kindle App crashing on iPad

Apparently Amazon/Apple is working on it. There appears to be a technical issue with the app.

I was able to put my phone in airplane mode and read a book I already had downloaded. imPATIENTLY waiting for a fix!

this is happening to me too! i force restarted my devices. (it’s happening on both my ipad and iphone) both have recent firmware and the apps are fully updated. my storage on my phone is almost up but i am nowhere near close to full storage on my ipad. i was just reading a book and it decided to kick me out.

I am having this same issues. I have done all the steps you suggested. Amazon app support is not helpful. There’s no way to reach them. The app support link in the App Store just directs you to the Amazon Kindle FAQ section, which mostly references the e-readers and provides no real information for the iPhone app.

Me too! I have been using the app on my iPhone and iPad pretty much all day, and about and about an hour ago it keeps crashing after being opened for less than 10 seconds. Have tried restarting, deleting the app, changing the password but no luck.

For the past 30 minutes the kindle app kicks me right out if I click on a book. Or sometimes right after I open the app. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app and clearing up storage. And restarting my phone. Nothing.

I also have the same issue, I restart my iPhone and it still happens. I have plenty of storage on my IPhone so that’s not it. So many folks with the same issue on multiple platforms, seems like Kindle App issue.

I’m having this issue on my phone as well… and I’m right about to leave on an international flight :(

I’ve tried deleting the app, restarting my phone, updating my phone, the works. As soon as I try to download a book, it crashes.

got the book from kindle unlimited and when tried to open in the app on my iPad it keeps crashing

what I trued so far:

deleting and reinstalling the app

restarting iPad

clearing some storage

returning book and downloading it again

nothing works

can’t open any books as the app keep crashing

Same thing is happening on my iPhone, restartedand tried reopening but it didn’t work. My Kindle Oasis is working fine. I am able to download, open and read. I hope they fix this issue soon. But it seems like maybe a problem with Apple app.

Just started happening to me too on my iPhone. I have updated iOS, updated the Kindle app, checked my storage. I feel better now that I see so many other people are having trouble too. Worked great last night and this morning :-(

its seems it’s a iOS problem because my sister has Samsung and has no problem, and it started only about 1 hour ago, I’ve turned off and on my phone, made sure I have have storage and I have plenty, so does anyone else know how to make it work? If I lose my streak I have no words on how I will react lol!!

Kindle app is crashing on my iPhone. It started about a half hour ago and nothing seems to work. I’m guessing it’s something at Amazon because all my other apps on my phone work. This sucks as I just started a new book, stopped for a few seconds to look at a text, went back to the book and out went the light.

I am also having that issue with kindle app on iPhone 15 and iPad 4th generation. Reupdated both devices, uninstalled kindle and reinstalled, powered down both, tried airplane mode, data only and the app still keeps crashing. Very frustrating!!

Mine started this morning. It’s very annoying. I was ready to read at work and nope. Keeps crashing on my iPad and iPhone. Everything is updated and plenty of storage. I just downloaded a new book last night to start reading today. 😩
