Anyone have ideas for the other 7 apple store total sales tax? I know Skokie is now charging 11.25%
Nobody else is going to do the legwork for you. You want to know this, you need to do the work for it.
Google is your friend.
You will need to go by the county / city the store is in, not its neighborhood or street, and include other taxes levied in those areas.
Illinois sales tax is 6.25%, then you add the county tax and any other local taxes to that.

Scroll down to the Cities and Counties section to find specific taxes and rates for each area the stores are in.
Its up to you if you want to do it or not. Nobody here is going to just do all the work for you just because you don't want to.

not asking people to do the legwork for me. just try to see if anyone bought stuff in those stores and knows, isn't that what this forum is for?
yes, I think Oakbrook is the lowest, 7.5% based on my google search.

This forum is for technical questions related to Apple devices and services.
Finding the lowest sales tax in an area is not the specific purpose of this forum.
Unless someone has already bought stuff around Chicago in different stores and has made a comparison in the recent past its unlikely anyone has the information of the lowest tax available. As these change frequently. Last update to taxes was in April of last year. Anybody that has info form before then, would likely not be accurate anymore.
I suggest you do the legwork in looking those up. They should be available online for the government pages for each municipality.

Nope. Finding sales tax rates at different locations is not what this site is for. That information is easily available to you by using the internet. This site is to help users who are having an issue with their devices that they are unable to solve.

Oak Brook---7.5% (seems lowest)
Naperville--- 7.75%
The rest are above 10%

Finding lowest sales tax (especially in high tax area) is very important subject.
Your question is within the scope of what I have seen asked on this forum. Whether or not somebody has time to do the research for you is another matter. We tend to focus on people who need our technical expertise. I have to weigh up spending 15+ minutes finding that information for you versus looking at the cat boxes that need cleaning in the house and I'm sorry but...
So, it is a legit question to ask here.
If you don't know the answer and don't want to help, no one is forcing to respond my post. Instead, you choose to be snarky and judging, legwork all seven stores in the area to get to know the lowest sales tax is not a reasonable suggestion......
I got my answer to the question and I think this post might help other people as well.
The reason I posted here is that I don't want to do the legwork. Even called apple support for a specific store and got told their sales tax varies from 6-10%, lol
