IPad Calibrate Screen pops up…

a very helpful suggestions from another Apple user. Delete your google map app. It works!

I see a lot of folks saying it’s popping up on Walmart app. On my iPad 5th generation/updated the Calibration wheel is popping up everywhere. There’s no end to it. Done hard reset no effect. We really need a solution.

My question, also. Several people seem to think it’s only happening on Walmart app but then I see other apps named. My persistent little popup-headache isn’t picky. It pops right up on my HOME hen randomly throughout the day on different apps,,geeeze ,,, Apple, please say something about this issue. It held my tablet hostage today until I rotated 10 turns!

Yes, the same thing is happening to me on the Walmart app! I deleted the app and reinstalled it and the problem continues. This is happening on my iPad Pro. Has there been a resolution to this problem? I don’t see one here. This is the first time I’m posting and I’m wondering how to follow the posts

This is happening on my iPad Pro. Driving me crazy. Seems it can’t be fixed. I find no solutions anywhere that work. I deleted the app from my iPad and now I’m only using it on my phone. Kind of sucks.

I do not have Google Maps installed, but am still having the Calibrate Screen pop up every few seconds, using the Zillow app.

I have completely reset my iPad, starting completely over, as if a new iPad. The only app installed is Zillow. Otherwise its pure Apple.

This is an iPad 5th generation, running iPadOS version 16.7.8. (which I just updated to, while writing this response)

The update to 16.7.8 DID NOT fix the problem.

Well, I thought it worked to stop the problem but it was only a temporary solution. Walmart needs to figure out why this happens on older iPads.

Having battled with this problem for about a week, gave up. I deleted the app from my iPad, added it to my android device and moved on. Good luck everyone.

If your iPad won’t turn off, this is what Apple support told me to do. Hold down the volume buttons, one at a time, then hold down the power button. I was not able to power off the way I normally do, which is holding the home button and the power button at the same time. But this worked. Then, if you have an older operating system, like I do (OS15), the only thing you can do is to delete the Walmart app. And you should be able to go to walmart.com sign into your account and do what you need to do without that prompt to calibrate appearing on your iPad

that didn’t work for me. Instead I was unable to power off in order to get the update. Luckily Apple support knew a different way to power off. Press volume up button. Press volume down button. Press & hold the power button until the power off slide appears. I had to delete the Walmart app. The forced update doesn’t work on older iOS software. Hopefully they will make an update for the older software.

On one IPad iPadOS 16.7.7 - iPad 5th gen. Calibration screen flashed on and off with D&D beyond app with it just sitting - does not get to the actual screen.

Have the other issue with Walmart on another mother’s iPad (iPad 16.7.7 - 5th gen iPad as well) with reinstalls and restarts and no difference still same issue.

Have restarted both and both issues only noticed a couple days ago.

Hello~ It looks like the compass recalibration to me …have you tried a forced restart?

Thank you for sharing a solution that really worked to stop this annoying issue on my 5th generation iPad!

It is happening to me on Zillow and Belk apps. Forced restart uninstall reinstall does nothing. oS 16.7.7 I don’t have many shopping apps but doesn’t do it on Publix app, USPS, or Sam’s Club

There really needs to be a fix for this! If not I’m going to buy Android in the future!
