I have an iPad Mini 4 with the most up to date iPadOS 15.8 that it will take. This screen just started popping up tonight and I can’t just cancel it. I have to close out then reopen app and it will pop up again. It happens while I’m on the Wayfair shopping app. Any suggestions on what to do?

Are you using an iPad case that contains magnets of any kind? For example, a case with a screen cover that operates the auto-lock function? If so, this can seriously affect the calibration of the iPad fluxgate compass.

In addition to the information within the link, you may find that several full rotations of the iPad in each of its three axis’ (X, Y and Z) will help with recalibration.
You can also prompt recalibration the compass by moving the device in an exaggerated figure-eight motion while in a horizontal plane.

Mine is doing the same thing on Walmart and just started doing it on Zillow. Deleted Walmart app, hard close and reset tablet and still doing it. Is it some type of virus?

I thought it worked, but it came back. It does it on both Walmart and Zillow apps.
I think it is at least 4 apps that go to marketplaces. I doubt there is anything planned on it - just an issue in the last couple of updates.
Well, I thought it worked to stop the problem but it was only a temporary solution. Walmart needs to figure out why this happens on older iPads.
It is happening to me on Zillow and Belk apps. Forced restart uninstall reinstall does nothing. oS 16.7.7 I don’t have many shopping apps but doesn’t do it on Publix app, USPS, or Sam’s Club
So are you saying don’t reinstall the app just use their website?
Have the same issue with Walmart app in ipadOS 15.6.1.
Seems there’s no solution, but to move on uninstalling and reinstalling the app does no good. I just cannot use the Walmart app on my iPad anymore only on my phone.
There really needs to be a fix for this! If not I’m going to buy Android in the future!

This same calibrating screen is popping up on Zillow app.
It happens on the Calm app. Good the free trial is almost done.
