i got these used airpod maxes and the previous owner did not delete them from his icloud is there a way were the airpods could be linked with my icloud i dont know the previous owner

AirPods Pro attached to another Apple ID after purchase from Best Buy I bought new/unopened AirPod Pros from Best Buy and it says they are attached to someone else’s Apple ID. I have reset them and reconnected them to my Apple ID. They work but I do not want someone else to track them from their phone. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
