My Family Share is confused!!!

My 13yr old daughter is receiving stuff on her phone that is intended for my 16yr old son. She receives texts and stuff from his friends, despite having a different number and Apple ID. Contacted Apple support and after a lot of trial and error and no solution, suggested we 'factory reset' the phone.

My son has pictures and videos he wishes to keep which I cannot see in the iCloud either. He does not want to lose these so that option is useless.

I have 1TB of storage so we want all devices to upload all data to the Family share - and assume then they have different ID's - am I correct in thinking this. Can different images/data be viewed via different profiles/devices etc?

I thought each member of Family Share had there own individual 'folder' within Family Share but it just seems to be a jumbled mess.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If Family sharing is correctly set up, the nothing should be getting mixed up in any way.

iCloud storage is shared yes, but all data and files are kept in each family member's account and no other family member has access to others files.

Make absolutely certain the iCloud account for each person is their own, and not sharing the same one in Settings ➜ Apple ID. If you find out more than one person is using the same apple Id there, then you will need to sign out, and sign back in with the individual account.

Also verify that the account used for Messages and Facetime in Settings ➜ Messages and Settings ➜ Facetime are the accounts for each family member and not a shared one.
