Very slow downloading of any applications from the App Store

Did Apple intentionally slow down downloading new apps after the latest iOS update release?

Apple didn’t slow down downloading new apps at all, so they clearly didn’t do it intentionally. The download speed has only one variable: The speed of your internet connection.

appreciate the response. My internet speed is 250mbps so I think this is very sufficient to maintain a good download speed. Perhaps it’s Apple way of giving me a nudge to upgrade my phone :)

Nope no VPN and I just ran speed check, it came up 246 mbps per second which is decent

I do have the same problem, no apps are downloading, at the same time I downloaded full movie 1gb on Netflix with in 10 minutes, 165 mb app takes forever

I haven’t noticed any download problems, so if Apple is throttling they have singled you out for throttling.

This should be true, but it’s not. And that’s the problem all these people raise. Yet to find an explanation.

Same here, there is for sure an issue with the App Store downloads. It is the same on 3 Apple devices all on high speed internet connections.

App Store taking more than 24hours to download app what’s wrong with it?

I have ipad 10th generation but when i try to download an app for 100mb, I could take up to 20mins yet my WiFi is on 4G and works well on other platforms. What could be the cause

I updated the latest data protection update on IOS 17 and after that (I assume) the download speed has decreased.

I already have this turned on & my downloads from App Store are ridiculously slow.
