i cant, it doesn’t let me go to camera or anything its just frozen and on my screen says verifying update

It most likely is not able to complete the verifying update step due to the wifi problems. Do a Force Restart, then check the WiFi settings. You normally do not want to Force Restart when your phone it is in the Preparing, or Installing step, but the validations step will not cause a problem when restarting.

It will take a couple of attempts to get the speed and sequence of the key presses correct and the last step of holding the side button until the Apple logo appears could take up to 20 seconds. Continue holding even if Slide to Power Off appears on the screen.

You need to keep holding the side button even if the Slide to Power off is on the screen. If the Apple Logo is not coming up after waiting a full 20 seconds holding the side button, then the speed or sequence of the previous button presses is not correct.

The Force Restart will always work with the correct steps as long as there is no physical damage with the buttons preventing key presses.
