Pressing the power button while updating IOS

So i was updating my IOS on my iphone 14 pro max and ended up wondering whether i can turn off the apple logo by pressing the power button. When i pressed the power button once, it said it will restart after the update.

Being concerned that it would be a long update, contribute to screen burn, or maybe not even turn off by itself later.

I then pressed the buttons twice in quick succession to see if it would make the apple logo and loading bar go away. Well it didn’t do so immediately, but after about 1-3 seconds it turned off and then i tried turning it back on to show me the apple logo again just to be sure i didn’t mess with anything, it didn’t show me the apple logo and loading bar again.

But after about 5 seconds it showed the same logo and loading bar again but this time, it didn’t tell me it will restart when i pressed the power button.

It ended up updating to iOS 17.2.1 in like a minute. But i couldn’t curb my paranoia so here i am.

My question is, could pressing the power button like that possibly end up interrupting the update or cause data corruption?

Thanks in advance.
