I'm in New Zealand.

Seems to be a location issue i tried switching on a vpn to usa ip and it works tried AU and NZ IPs and no go.

I talked to someone from apple support first person said there was no known issue.

They then put me onto a phone call with someone else and he is looking into it.

I managed to get Apple support on the phone last night for half an hour.

Its specifically this film

and Apple tv+ app related on both Apple TV device and iPhone/iPad and their engineers are trying to remedy the issue, and gathering as much info as possible.

You can steam the film by logging into Apple TV via a browser, not the app. I managed to get my logged into Apple TV website using windows pc and chrome.

By the time I’d troubleshooted myself and spoke to support I’d run out of time to watch the entire movie.

I made support aware of this community page and asked them to post on here. But they haven’t.

I had the fail-to-play problem with “Killers…” and now have the same issue with “Masters of the Air.” The Apple TV App on FireStick refused to play and displayed “Video Not Available.” I then switched to the Apple TV App on the LG OLED B-series TV and the show played fine. So - in my experience, the issue is some conflict with Amazon FireStick and high demand shows on Apple TV+.


I’m in Park City, UT and get my internet signal from Comcast/Xfinity cable.

I am in the U.S. in Pennsylvania. Hopefully this helps someone. The movie will not play on my Roku TV (TCL65R35) Apple TV+ app. However, when I switch to my LG (C1 series)TV it does play on the Apple TV+ app. Both TVs are on a hard line with 1GB service to my house. Although, when I'm on the Roku TV the Apple+TV app is claiming that my service is fluctuating between "4mbps and 26mbps*, which is obviously..... Incorrect.

Had a very informative discussion with a Senior Advisor over the phone this morning on the issue, they said that I wasn’t the only person with the issue (they must’ve taken notice with the volume of calls about it then) and they’ve got their Engineers on the case fixing it. After trying again now it works for me. Give it a go again and see if it works for you too :D
