iOS 17.2.1 (21C66) Broke Audio Streaming from Safari When Not in Focus

I noticed that with the iOS 17.2.1 (21C66) update, continuous audio streaming no longer works in Safari when it loses focus. It was working perfectly and would advance tracks played from a web playlist without issues, even when leaving Safari and using other apps. But, now, audio stops in between tracks if Safari is not in focus. 🙁

What? This response isn’t very helpful. Stating that this issue “might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors” and then suggesting that I “check the Setting on [my] device” doesn’t provide any useful guidance or help.

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Audio issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

This seems purely coincidental so please check the Setting on your device.
