icloud sync erased my voice memos!

Devastated! I recorded a conversation with a grandmother years ago on my previous phone, and that grandmother just passed away yesterday. I plugged up my previous phone and went to play the message just now and as it started to play, iCloud popped up and asked if I wanted to sync voice memos. I clicked sync because I wanted to make sure it was secure across all devices. As soon as I clicked sync, it erased all my voice recordings!! There is no recently deleted file, they are no where to be found! Please tell me this can be fixed or retrieved! Because It feels like a cruel joke right now Apple!!!
