Change router password to enable MacBook Air Access
Changed my Wi-Fi router – unable to change the password for my network on my MacBook Air. Saw an old response from 2012 – but still not able to change my access. Help!

If you are using the same SSID for the new router, then you can also configure the router to use your old WiFi password. Otherwise if you are using the same SSID with the new router and want to use a different WiFi password, then you need to forget the WiFi Network within macOS using the instructions in this Apple article:

Afterwards you can select the WiFi network in macOS and enter the correct credentials.
