Reset password Mac with no WiFi

I had my Mac repaired but I forgot my password to unlock my Mac and now I can’t reset it because it gives me an error connecting to the Apple ID server because it’s not connected to WiFi

So i changed my password and went to try to sign in, but instead of the password prompt, it showed me the login screen, and i Have tried every password i thought it could be but its not letting me login. And still doesn’t connect to the wifi. Is there a way i can get it to go back to factory settings to try again or am i screwed? New internet and I forget my password on MacBook!! I haven’t used my laptop in a long time so naturally I forgot the password and to top it off, I changed my internet company, so need to change my WiFi and I am lost!! Can anyone help, please?!?

Sorry but you will have to take the Mac somewhere where you can either access a Wi-Fi network or connect via a wired Ethernet connection. This time write down the passwords and save them in a secure location so you can refer to them next time you need them.
