I have the same thing. This is with my old Hotmail account that I don’t use day to day really but still get random emails due to things I’ve used it for. Still getting emails just fine, but it constantly pops up asking for a password. Does it in my phone app, does it in email. I’ve out the password in many times and it has not stopped. Worked fine since whatever iOS was on the iPhone 3G. This is highly doubtful that coincidentally MS made some change the very day iOS 17.3 was released LOL.

Hello SravanKrA, I have created and entered two app passwords from office.com for my iPhone and my iPad. Both reject the app passwords and keep asking for an outlook.com account password over and over. I had to delete the outlook.com account from both iOS devices because the pop ups made mail unusable. Now I can't see updated calendar and contacts because outlook.com account was removed.

I've tried deleting the app password from Microsoft/Outlook and generating a new one for my iPhone. That seemed to work initially. I sent an email to the account, read it on my phone and replied to it without issue. An hour or two later I was checking my phone for something else and it started to ask for a password for Outlook again. All through this I have had no problems on my MacBook with the same account (or my Windows box)

Since I updated four devices with operating system 17.3. My exchange

account keeps telling me “Password Incorrect Enter the password for the

exchange account “Exchange”.  I have

changed the password once and deleted the Exchange account and created it again

several times. I keep getting the same message and exchange does not work.

Since I can get email through other devices which do not use Exchange, my

password is correct. I have tried advice from Sup_Traste and deleted my

Exchange account and created a Outlook.com account and got what I wanted, Mail,

Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, and Notes. Now I can synchronize my Outlook on

my PC to my iPhone and iPad. I also use Authenticator and it was a seamless transition.

exactly the same problem - since the 17.3 update, my exchange account constantly asks for the password every morning. The only way to stop it is to open the Mail account settings for that account, disable calendar syncing, wait until it’s deleted all the calendar entries, then reenable it, and wait until it’s resynced. Boring, but I can live with it as long as Apple fixes it in the next update (soon)!

You have a Microsoft email account. Your choice is to follow Microsoft troubleshooting advice or live with the problem forever. Microsoft has publicly said that the problem is on their end, and has provided guidance to fix it. You can either go to Microsoft support or just read thread you posted to, which has all of the information you need that other users got from MS support.

Apple does not have the resources to fix Microsoft’s email server.

You notice that it only happens with Microsoft Mail and not any other email accounts? Doesn’t that tell you something?

If you want to know the real reason it is because Microsoft switched Exchange to require 0AUTH authentication instead of passwords at the end of January. If you delete the account, then add it back that will usually fix it.
